Meet the Second Creek Team
John Jervis, Technician
John was born and raised in Wayne, West Virginia. After completing high school he served in the United States Army as a military policeman. After completing his service, he returned to West Virginia where he started a family and a career. He returned to school and studied computer networking and PC support.
After completing his course work, John began working for the Dell Computer Corporation. His employment there included a variety of jobs from working with the original 24 hour support help line, to being one of the first Tier2 techs, to working with server and Dell Network support, to finally working in an onsite repair position. As a Dell technician, he worked for a radiology practice and eventually took over as their Network Administrator. From that time forward he has focused primarily on healthcare information technology. John was hired by Second Creek in January 2007 and is continuing his work with healthcare information technology in addition to general network and VOIP support.

What's the best part about Second Creek?
The best part of working at Second Creek is the people. We all have our strengths and weaknesses in the business, but the personalities of our people make the weaknesses not such a big a deal. We all help each other when needed and are all open to discussion about different ways to accomplish things. We're also collectively a very creative bunch; we've managed to pull off a few tasks in the past that I didn't think were even possible.

What are your passions outside of work?
My favorite pastimes outside of work include spending time with my family and exploring the great outdoors. I enjoy camping, 4wheeling (4-wheelers and pickup/jeeps) and hiking. I also enjoy going to amusement parks with my daughter and hitting the big coasters.
