Second Creek Partners with MU IST
Second Creek is proud to announce a partnership with Marshall University's department of Integrated Science and Technology. IST is a new and exciting degree program that is an alternative to traditional programs in science, technology, and engineering.
They have brought together faculty and subject matter from engineering, physics, biological science, computer and information science, mathematics, communication studies and management to create an integrated degree program that meets the needs of today's employers. The Integrated Science and Technology Department offers a major in Computer and Information Technology or students can specialize in either Biotechnology or Environmental Studies.
Computer forensics, web development and network security are just a few of the courses taught through the department.
"We couldn't be more excited." said John Sammons, CEO of Second Creek Technologies. "IST is a fantastic program that truly meets the challenges for tomorrow’s technologists. We are very much looking forward to collaborating with Dr. Little, Brian Morgan and the rest of the department.Their folks are absolutely first class.”
Brian Morgan is an Associate Professor in the department and clearly enjoys his work. “Teaching within IST is an absolute thrill for me. I enjoy exploring new technologies and sharing leading edge IT products, solutions, and theories with students so that they can be successful in their careers.” said Morgan.
“Working with a leading edge company such as SCT has not only enabled me to expand my knowledge set but also aid SCT in broadening their markets. At the same time I am able to take real world examples and ideas back to my students preparing them to be employable immediately upon graduation from our program.” he said.
